RHY.THM is yet another collaboration with music composer Pim van den Heuvel where we explore the relationships between visual elements and music structures.
In this first edition, called Ostinato (which in music language means a continually repeated musical phrase or rhythm) we decided to focus on the idea of patterns.

The goal was to play with the idea of patterns, starting from the more visible executions like using halftone patterns inspired in printing techniques, to the less obvious ones like using the cyclical patterns of planetary movements as inspiration for the entire sequence, or telling a love story between the Sun and the Moon, a narrative pattern that repeats itself every day.
